Fines for overdue books begin after a three day grace period, which gives students a few extra days to turn in their items. After the grace period, fines are $0.25 a day, per item. The maximum fine for each book or item is $50.00. Reserve items, which generally have a two-hour checkout period, accumulate fines at $0.25 an hour after they are due. Once the items are returned, the fines stop accumulating. Fines can be paid at the Circulation desk on the first floor of the library with either cash or check.
