Downloading ebrary e-books allows you to read them offline for a limited time, using Adobe Digital Editions. In addtion to downloading the free Adobe Digital Editions software, you'll need to create an ebrary account and Adobe ID (both free). [Note: for Apple and Android devices, use the  Bluefire Reader at the App Store or at Android Market.]

When you open an e-book, choose the "Download" button and follow the device-specific instructions. Ebrary e-books check out for 14 days (unless you choose to "return" them earlier). After the expiration date, they may still appear on your "shelf" but you won't be able to open them.
